Dubbed COVID-19, a novel respiratory disease first reported in China in late 2019 spreads quickly around the world and by spring of 2020 has impacted every phase of WSP operations. Many civilian employees began successfully working from home (teleworking).

Protests erupt across the state regarding pandemic responses as well as a hotly contested presidential election cycle. Major protests occur on the grounds of the Capitol Campus with sometimes violent conflicts between groups and individuals representing both the extreme right and left sides of the political spectrum.

Government and Media Relations hires its second full-time tribal liaison.

Construction of WSP’s Vancouver High-Throughput DNA Lab (HTL) was completed and the staff were able to occupy and begin operations.
