NEWHALEM, Wash. – The identity of a deceased man found on the side of state Route 20 near milepost 150 last month has been released.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) responded to reports of a body discovered by a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) employee during seasonal cleaning in the area on March 20, 2024, in the seasonal closure between Ross Dam Trailhead and Silver Star Gate.
The Skagit County Coroner’s Office (SCCO) positively identified the decedent as Willam Summer, age 52. At this time, the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
