Meet State and Area Law Enforcement at the Spring Fair in Puyallup

April 12, 2024

PUYALLUP, Wash. – State and area law enforcement agencies are teaming up at the Spring Fair at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup the next two weekends to highlight unity and diversity in law enforcement. Representatives from the Washington State Patrol (WSP) as well as local police departments and sheriff’s offices will be on hand at the WSP Exhibit Center located next to the Blue Gate at the annual spring event.

This weekend (Apil 13-14) agency personnel will be on hand to answer questions about careers in law enforcement as well as community relationships between law enforcement and the diverse communities they serve. Among others, the Seattle Police Department’s (SPD) Pride Car will be displayed and the WSP El Protector program will also be highlighted throughout the weekend with interesting displays and activities.

The El Protector program seeks to assist people with limited English-speaking abilities. The bilingual and bicultural program provides public education through dialogue with the Hispanic/Latino community.

Other agencies will be able to answer questions about efforts to increase diverse representation in law enforcement and the many ways and opportunities individuals from all backgrounds and communities can serve. Next weekend (April 20-21) participating agencies will highlight women in law enforcement and guests to the exhibit will have the opportunity to meet women playing prominent roles in state and local service.

Please come and enjoy the Spring Fair in Puyallup and stop by the WSP Exhibit between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day to meet area public servants dedicated to your protection and service.
