Thank you for visiting the Washington State Patrol's District 6 Web page. This district encompasses the counties of Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Kittitas, and Okanogan, as well as the northeast corner of Adams County in North Central Washington. It contains a diverse landscape and spectacular scenic features.

District 6 covers the largest geographical area of any district in the state, with a population of over 250,000 citizens for the five-plus county area. The main headquarters is located in Wenatchee, with detachment offices located in Okanogan, Moses Lake, and Ellensburg. Our Detachments page will provide you with more specific information about each of the various areas.

Goals & Objectives


District goals and objectives conform to those adopted by the Field Operations Bureau:

  • Reduce the number of collisions on state and interstate routes caused by drivers under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Reduce the number of speed-related collisions on state and interstate highways.
  • Reduce the incidents of "Aggressive Driving" on state routes and interstate highways.
  • Increase the use of occupant restraints on state routes and interstate highways.
