Field Operations · District 5 Home Page

Welcome to the District 5 home page, full of facts, information, and data to help you learn about the services the Washington State Patrol provides in serving the southwest region of Washington State.

The Vancouver District includes the five counties located in southwest Washington: Clark, Skamania, Klickitat, Cowlitz, and Lewis. These counties consist of approximately 9,666 square miles, which includes 2 Interstate Highways and 27 State Routes. On these highways, patrol units cover a total of 762 miles. Two of the district's six truck scales use weigh-in-motion technology - the Port of Entry and the Ostrander Scales.

In addition to the district office located in Vancouver, there are four detachment offices located in Chehalis, Morton, Kelso, and Goldendale. Our detachment's web page provides specific information about each detachment office.

Captain Jason M. Linn is honored to serve with the 177 men and women of District 5 who strive each day to improve traffic and public safety throughout southwest Washington, while assigned to: law enforcement, traffic investigations, auto theft, narcotics investigations, commercial vehicle enforcement, crime laboratory services, vehicle inspections, communications, and support services.
