WSP Reminds Motorists Not to Park/Stop on Shoulder During Boeing 100th Anniversary Event
King County -- The Washington State Patrol will have extra patrols this weekend on I-5 along Boeing Field/King County International Airport reminding motorists that parking and/or stopping along the freeway, including the shoulders, is illegal.
This reminder comes as The Boeing Company celebrates its 100th anniversary with a number of events scheduled at the Museum of Flight. Troopers are concerned that some of the activities occurring at Boeing Field and the Museum of Flight may distract motorists traveling on I-5 between Tukwila and Seattle. Drivers who choose to stop along the freeway or shoulder to observe activities could face a ticket and $136 fine (RCW 46.61.570.)
Congratulations to all the employees at Boeing who have contributed to 100 years of aviation history.
