Washington State Patrol Seeks Witnesses to Hit and Run Collision
King County -- Washington State Patrol detectives are investigating a hit and run, injury collision that occurred Monday, April 6, 2015 on EB I-90 near North Bend (mile post 31) at 1:15 pm. A white or silver semi-truck towing a container or box trailer struck a black Toyota Prius, causing the Prius to strike a jersey barrier and eventually come to rest in the median.
The semi-truck continued eastbound, possibly last seen by a witness near mile post 40. The semi-truck is believed to have significant damage to the left front of the vehicle and possibly some damage to the trailer. The semi-truck may also have green markings on the side of the cab. Investigators also believe that the lug nuts on the left front wheel may be damaged.
A passenger in the Prius suffered a severe hand injury and was transported to the hospital by medics. The driver and a second passenger were not hurt.
Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact Detective Vik Mauro at email@example.com or 425-401-7746.
