WSP Detectives Seek Witnesses to Fatal Collision
Vancouver -- Washington State Patrol detectives are investigating a three vehicle fatality collision that occurred April 2, 2015, just before 9:30 AM on State Route 503 near Battle Ground, WA. The collision involved a silver 2006 GMC Sierra truck, a black 2003 Land Rover SUV, and a gray 2006 Kia Sorrento SUV. The front passenger of the Kia suffered serious injuries and died the next day.
The preliminary investigation shows the GMC and Land Rover were traveling north on State Route 503. The GMC crossed the center line and traveled into the path of the Kia which was traveling south. Drivers of the Kia and GMC were transported to PeaceHealth Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Land Rover was uninjured. The southbound lanes of State Route 503 were closed for approximately three hours while troopers and detectives investigated the scene.
