State Patrol Detectives Seek Witnesses to Car/Bus Collision in Maple Valley

The Washington State Patrol's Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating a car vs. bus, fatality collision on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at approximately 4:10 a.m. on SR 169 (Maple Valley Highway) near Maple Valley.

The crash occurred on State Route 169 at milepost 18.8 (Jones Rd.) in King County; preliminary investigation shows that a King County Metro bus was traveling southbound on SR 169 when it was struck by a Honda Civic 4-door that was traveling northbound. The Honda crossed the centerline leading to the collision. The driver of the Honda died at the scene; the bus driver sustained non-life threatening injuries. There were no passengers on the bus or the Honda.
