Good to Know Video: Secure Your Load

Olympia -- As the weather continues to improve, more and more people will be working outside clearing debris and yard waste. The Washington State Patrol would like to remind the public of how important it is to make sure your load is secured.

In the latest edition of our “Good to Know” series, Trooper Guy Gill offers tips and suggestions on how to properly secure a load before transport.

The video can be viewed on the Washington State Patrol's YouTube channel.

The sanction for failing to secure your load can range from a fine to a criminal arrest. Take that few extra minutes before you leave to ensure whatever you may be hauling is secured. This could be the difference between an uneventful trip to the landfill or injuring someone traveling behind you.

For more information about load securement and reporting a lost or unsecured load, visit the Load Loss & Securement page. You can also report a lost or unsecured load with the Loss of Load online form.
