Good to Know: What's it Like to be a WSP Dispatcher?

Olympia -- The current edition of the Washington State Patrol’s Good To Know video series outlines the excitement and challenges of serving as a WSP Communications Officer (dispatcher).

These are the people you reach when you call 9-1-1, and who relay your information to responding troopers.

Dispatchers must be able to work at an incredibly fast pace, while still maintaining a calm and caring attitude toward those they serve. The video outlines, in the dispatchers’ own words, how they achieve that balance.
