WSP Seeks Witnesses to Hit and Run Collision

Vancouver -- Troopers with the Washington State Patrol are seeking additional witnesses to a hit and run collision that occurred on June 26th at the intersection of SR-500 and Falk Road. The collision occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. in the westbound lanes of SR-500 between a white Mazda sedan and a gray Nissan pickup.

The victim of the collision, a 41 year old female resident of Vancouver, was rear ended in her Mazda sedan by a gray Nissan pickup at the intersection. After the initial collision, the driver of the Nissan pickup got out of his vehicle and yelled profanities at the victim. He then got back in his pickup and rammed the victim’s vehicle before leaving the scene. The victim sustained a minor neck injury but did not require any medical treatment.

A witness driving by at the time snapped several photos with a cell phone camera. The photos show the suspect and his vehicle just after the initial collision. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, 40-50 years old with brown facial hair. He was wearing a green colored short sleeve shirt. The vehicle he was driving is a 1989 Nissan pickup with canopy and an Alabama license plate of 2B78P46.
