Sedro Woolley Hit and Run Fatal Collision

Washington State Patrol Detectives are seeking the whereabouts of 19-year-old Manual V. Cortez Vargas of Sedro Woolley in connection with a fatal collision that killed 19-year-old Cameron Sheridan of Sedro Woolley. 

The collision occurred on Sapp Road just north of Jones Road in Sedro Woolley.  It is believed Manual V. Cortez Vargas was driving the 1997 Honda Accord that failed to negotiate a curve, leaving the roadway to the left, and coming to rest upside down in a slough.  His passenger, Cameron Sheridan, was found deceased in the vehicle in the early hours of March 5th.  Cortez Vargas reportedly spoke with friends on the morning of March 5th, but failed to notify police of the collision. 

The Washington State Patrol warns anyone found to be assisting Cortez Vargas evade law enforcement could be subject to criminal charges.

Anyone with information about Cortez Vargas’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
