Washington State Patrol Seeks Additional Witnesses
Skagit County/Sedro Woolley WA - Washington State Patrol Detectives are investigating a Car/Pedestrian collision that occurred on January 25th, 2012, at or about 6:20 P.M. on Minkler Road near Peavey Road.
Rodger E. Ballinger of Sedro Woolley was believed to be walking east on Minkler Road where a witness saw the man fall into the roadway. After the witness turned his vehicle around, he witnessed the pedestrian being run over by an eastbound pick-up truck. The truck kept going east on Minkler road without stopping. The man was airlifted to Harborview and later pronounced dead.
Detectives are asking the person that hit this individual to come forward as well as witnesses who were traveling in this area last night that could provide more information. If you have any information at all, or know somebody that does, please contact Detective Charles Sletten at (360) 654-1204.
