State Patrol Announces New PIO Contact for District 8 Bremerton
The Washington State Patrol announced today that Trooper Russ Winger has been appointed to the position of Public Information Officer (PIO) for District Eight, which covers Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam, Pacific, Grays Harbor and Wahkiakum Counties. Winger replaces Trooper Krista Hedstrom. Trooper Hedstrom has been selected for promotion to detective with the Criminal Investigation Division, which she transferred to on December 1, 2011.
Winger has spent twenty three years as a line trooper in Kitsap County. Trooper Winger is a native of Kitsap County and graduated from Central Kitsap High School. Trooper Winger also graduated from Washington State University.
