Officer Involved Shooting Update

The coordinated investigation between the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Spokane Investigative Regional Response (SIRR) Team into the officer involved shooting that occurred Monday, December 19, in Reardan is progressing.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the autopsy and next of kin notifications have been made. The suspect has been identified as John R. Merrick 54 of Reardan, Washington. A meeting between investigators and the involved town marshal has been scheduled for this week.
