State Patrol is Teaming Up With the Washington Trucking Association to Target Aggressive Drivers
Marysville/Olympia -- The Washington State Patrol will partner with the Washington Trucking Association to conduct a Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) emphasis on
October 12, 2011. Officers will ride in the cabs of a commercial vehicles looking for violators by focusing on five collision causing violations; speed, following too close, driver inattention, failure to yield and driving over the centerline. The State Patrol and the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office will have officers patrolling Snohomish County. WSP is also conducting an additional TACT emphasis in Thurston County.
The WSP troopers riding in the trucks will have help from TACT and Commercial Vehicle Division (CVD) troopers as they target aggressive passenger vehicles and trucks during the emphases in Snohomish and Thurston County.
