UPDATE: Car vs. Pedestrian Hit & Run Fatality

The Washington State Patrol is requesting assistance with locating a van associated with a fatal pedestrian hit and run collision which occurred northbound on I-5 just south of Chehalis, Washington, on May 21, 2011, at approximately 9:50 p.m.

The vehicle that fled the scene is a 1996-2002 Chevrolet Express or GMC Savana full-size van.  The photo to the left is an example of the particular body/grille style in question, however, details such as window configurations, overall vehicle length, paint color, and possible company markings are unknown.

The vehicle may have a missing right side (passenger side) rear-view mirror and the vertically-oriented amber marker light at the right front (passenger side) corner of the vehicle may be shattered or missing completely.
