Safe Travels this Memorial Weekend

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is asking for motorists’ cooperation and assistance to make this busy Memorial Day weekend safe and enjoyable for all that are traveling on our state highways.

Motorists should expect increased traffic volumes including recreational vehicles and vehicles pulling boats and travel trailers. The WSP reminds motorists to stay alert and drive with caution; expect the unexpected. Roadway construction projects are in full swing so please plan your trip accordingly and allow yourself sufficient time to arrive at your destination safely.

The WSP is dedicated to the prevention of serious injury and fatality collisions. Troopers will be strictly enforcing impaired and aggressive driving, speeding, and occupant restraint violations. We will continue be proactive in our efforts to prevent these tragic events from occurring, but we need your help. If you encounter a dangerous driver, please report it by calling 911 as soon as it is safe to do so. With your help, we can all have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
