Witnesses to Serious Injury Collision on State Route 169 Sought
A two car head-on collision required helicopter transport to Harborview Medical Center for a seriously injured driver.
Just after 1am this morning on State Route 169 near 383rd street in Enumclaw, a head-on collision blocked all the lanes as a serious injury collision was investigated. A white Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 41 year old Seattle female, was traveling north on State Route 169 when it crossed over the centerline. The Tahoe had a head on collision with a white Chevrolet Malibu traveling southbound. The Malibu driver, a 64 year old Black Diamond female, was air-lifted to Harborview with serious injuries.
The driver of the Tahoe was placed under arrest for investigation of Vehicular Assault and transported by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.
As part of the investigation detectives are seeking witnesses that observed the collision, or either of the involved vehicles prior to the collision. Witnesses should contact Detective Russ Haake at (425) 401-7717.
