Inflatable Doll “Passenger” Used in the HOV Lane

A driver was stopped for violating the HOV lane when it was observed that his “passenger” was actually a female inflatable doll wearing a wig.

Around 8:30 this morning a trooper working HOV enforcement on northbound Interstate 5 south of 320th Street stopped a vehicle when he realized the front seat passenger was actually a doll. The trooper said the car quickly pulled out of the HOV lane as soon as it came into view.  While looking at the car it was obvious that the passenger was a doll.

The driver attempted to make the doll look more like a passenger by buckling it into the front passenger seat, leaning it to the right side and adding a blanket, enhancing the appearance of sleep. Offering only an apology for his behavior the driver was cited $124 dollars for the violation of the HOV lane.
