Pursuit Ended with Suspect Committing Suicide

On the December 10, 2010 Kyle L. Hoapili was involved in a pursuit where he fled from   Bremerton Police. Hoapili was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant of arrest for kidnapping in Kitsap County. The Washington State Department of Corrections also had a warrant for Hoapili’s arrest for escape.

The Kitsap County Coroner’s Office reported the CAUSE OF DEATH as PERFORATING CONTACT GUNSHOT WOUND TO THE HEAD; and the MANNER OF DEATH has been classified as a SUICIDE.

The Washington State Patrol is still investigating the incident and would like to ask for any witnesses to please come forward.
