Driver Arrested for DUI with 3 Year Old Child in Vehicle
A 57 year old Burien man was arrested today for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after he was stopped by a Washington State Patrol Trooper for failing to wear his seatbelt.
Juan Alconini Carvajal was driving his 1995 Toyota 4-Runner on 1st Avenue South in Burien when a trooper observed he was not wearing his seatbelt. The trooper stopped the 4-Runner and immediately detected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The first indicator of Carvajal’s intoxication was the two 40 ounce beer bottles lying on the front seat. Carvajal’s three year old son was riding in the back seat.
Carvajal’s BAC level registered at a .102.
Carvajal was booked into the King County Jail on charges of DUI and Reckless Endangerment.
