Stay at Home Dad Crashes; Blood Alcohol Level 4 Times Over the Legal Limit
A 50 year old stay at home dad was arrested Tuesday for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and hit and run after rear-ending a vehicle on Interstate 405 at Coal Creek Parkway.
Allen Blanco, a Bellevue resident, was traveling northbound on Interstate 405 when he rear-ended another vehicle. Blanco fled the scene but was forced to stop when his vehicle broke down approximately 5 miles ahead of the incident. Blanco and his passenger attempted to flee on foot, but due to their high intoxication levels they were not able to get very far. Blanco was identified by the victim as the driver of the fleeing vehicle. He was arrested and a breath test determined his blood alcohol level to be .326, which is 4 times the legal limit in Washington.
Blanco was booked into the King County Jail on charges of hit and run and DUI.
