Tri-State Partners for a Safe 4th of July Weekend

The Idaho State Police, the Montana Highway Patrol and the Washington State Patrol will be out in full force over this 4th of July weekend. The Tri-State partnership will focus our efforts on unsafe driving behaviors, occupant restraint violations and impaired driving.

All three agencies are asking for the public’s assistance and cooperation in making this busy weekend safe for motorists that will be traveling through eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana. We are asking that you build extra time into your travel plans to make it to your destination safely. Drive the posted speed limit, be sure everyone in your vehicle is properly restrained and never drink and drive.

Troopers will be proactive in their efforts to remove impaired drivers from our roadways but we need your help. Please report dangerous drivers as soon as it is safe for you to do so by calling 911. In Idaho you can also dial *477 or in Montana call the R.A.D.D. line at 1-800-525-5555. Our goal is to prevent any serious collisions and with your help we can have a safe, fun 4th of July weekend.
