One Motorcycle Fatality

On June 17, 2010 at 4:38 p.m., troopers from the Washington State Patrol responded to a one motorcycle collision on State Route 503 near Cougar Washington.

Rory A. Witham, a 39 year old Cougar resident, was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle northbound on SR-503.  For an unknown reason the motorcycle left the roadway to the right and struck a power pole on the shoulder.  Witham was transported by Life Flight to South West Washington Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. 

On June 29, 2010 Witham died from injuries sustained in the collision. 

Next of kin have been notified.
