WSP Chief is a Candidate for New Orleans Police Chief
Olympia – Washington State Patrol Chief John R. Batiste is currently a candidate for the position of Chief of Police in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The New Orleans area was where Batiste was born and raised. “I would welcome the opportunity to give something back to a community that gave so much to me during my formative years,” said Batiste.
“There are several other excellent candidates and I'm honored to be considered alongside them. Until I receive an offer from the city you can rest assured that my full energies are devoted to supporting the men and women of the Washington State Patrol in their service to the citizens of our state,” said Batiste.
