WHAT WE DO More than half of all Washington State Patrol employees work in a variety of non-commissioned jobs to support the Patrol's mission. We seek qualified people in management, trades, computer technology, inspections, electronics, and office support. Read About The Patrol for more information on what we do as an agency. Required skills differ, depending on the job advertised. All Washington State Patrol applicants are subject to background investigations, including a polygraph examination, because of the nature of the work and security requirements.
