Fireworks Wholesalers, Importers, & Manufacturers

In Washington State, a company or organization desiring a Wholesalers, Importers, and/or Manufacturers License must submit their application for these licenses to the State Fire Marshal's Office. The deadline for submission is January 31 of the year the company or organization wishes to be licensed. These individual licenses will allow the holder/company to sell fireworks at wholesale, bring fireworks into the state of Washington, or manufacture fireworks.

To become a Licensed Wholesaler, Importer, and/or Manufacturer in the state of Washington, download the Application for State Fireworks License or contact our office at (360) 570-3134 to request the form be sent to you. The annual licensing fees are:

Wholesaler: $2,000         Importer: $1,000         Manufacturer: $2,000

After completing the form, return it to the address indicated on the form along with the correct licensing fee(s) to our office. Once received, the application is reviewed by the Deputy State Fire Marshal in charge of the Fireworks Licensing Program for approval. Upon approval, an individual license for each requested profession [Wholesaler, Importer, Manufacturer] will be sent to the mailing address of the company or organization.

To renew your license as a fireworks Wholesaler, Importer, and/or Manufacturer in the state of Washington, download the State Fireworks License Renewal Application Form or contact our office at (360) 570-3134 to request the form be sent to you. The annual renewal fees are the same.

Please Note:
  • Your application and fees must be submitted to this office before January 31 of the year the license is to be utilized.
  • This license is valid from the date issued to January 31 of the subsequent year.
