DESCRIPTION:
On July 8, 1999, Martinez had been drinking when he was involved in a one vehicle roll-over collision on State Route 24 near milepost 2. The passenger in Martinez's vehicle died later that evening. The suspect sustained serious injuries in the collision and was hospitalized. After release from the hospital Martinez fled.
